Open Mic this Thursday, March 22, 7:30-9:00 @ THE SPOT in downtown Commerce. Come enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage while you check out the performers. Bring poetry, prose, or music to share– or just come out for the show!
The March 8th Open Mic at the Commerce Public Library has been postponed until further notice. Join us at 7:30 on March 22nd at the Spot in downtown Commerce!
Dr. Kathryn Jacobs of the Department of Literature and Languages at Texas A&M University-Commerce will give a reading of selected poems from her new book, In Transit, tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the Alumni Center. Copies of her book will be available for sale and autograph. Refreshments will be served.
The Mayo Review will be hosting its 3rd Open Mic Night of
the semester on Thursday, October 6th. The event will be
held at the SPOT located in downtown Commerce. Come early
for registration – first to sign up, first to perform!
Time-slots will be limited to 5 minutes.

Directions: Heading north on TX-50, take a right at the
second stoplight on the highway. This will put you on Live
Oak Street (the street where McDonald’s, and Subway, is
located). Head east on Live Oak Street (you will pass
through a stop sign and traffic light) until you get to the
intersection of Live Oak and Washington. Take a left onto
Washington, and follow this street into the downtown area
(when the street changes to brick, you are in downtown
Commerce). The SPOT will be on your left once you get into
the downtown area. If you have any questions about the
